Features
Monitoring, library data and cataloging tools, all built around your ISBNs
Monitoring
Quoinlock checks your books every day against the record of truth, the retailers and the library catalogs, and tells you what changed.
Daily Listing Checks
Every monitored ISBN is checked every day for price, availability and metadata. The Base package covers the official ISBN record, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Bookshop.org, Google Books and the Library of Congress, and add-on packages extend that to 44 sources.
What you get
- Price, availability and listing status for each source
- Retail coverage at a glance: listed at X of Y sources
- First seen and days-to-list for each retailer
- Confirmed data stays visible when a site has a bad day
Official & Distribution Records
See the record retailers are fed. Quoinlock shows your official ISBN record field by field, alongside Ingram catalog data, so you can spot problems at the source instead of chasing them one retailer at a time.
What you get
- 38+ fields: format, dimensions, pricing, series, audience
- BISAC and BIC subjects, contributors and roles
- Ingram distribution data (via Bookfinity)
- Download the record as JSON
Launch Tracking
A new title takes weeks to reach every store. While a book is in its launch window, Quoinlock checks availability twice a day and records when it first appears at each retailer.
What you get
- Know the day your book goes live at each store
- Days-to-list for every source
- Warning for titles published under a free ISBN (KDP, IngramSpark and others)
Change Alerts & Digests
Get told about the changes that matter, when you want to hear about them.
What you get
- Price, availability, metadata, official record and MARC changes
- An alert when the Library of Congress assigns your LCCN
- Immediate, daily or weekly delivery, plus quiet hours
- Price-change thresholds and a Monday Weekly Watch Summary
Library & Cataloging Data
Libraries are a market and an authority. Quoinlock puts their records next to your retail data.
LoC MARC Records
Your full Library of Congress MARC record and LCCN, refreshed daily and fetched on demand. Cataloging-agency codes are decoded into names, so you can see who catalogued your book and when.
What you get
- Daily refresh with change alerts
- LCCN and LC classification at a glance
- Decoded MARC organization and vendor codes
- MARCXML download
Library Catalog Lookup
Query the catalogs of roughly 50 national, state, research and university libraries to see exactly how each one has catalogued an ISBN.
What you get
- Ivy League, research, state, national and international libraries
- Compare cataloging across institutions
- Works for any ISBN, monitored or not
MARC Comparison
Put the Library of Congress MARC records for two ISBNs side by side. Useful for comparing a print edition with its ebook, a new edition with the last one, or your title with a comparable book.
What you get
- Field-by-field side-by-side view
- Any two ISBNs
- Spot missing subjects and classification
LC Call Number Calculator
Estimate a Library of Congress call number for your book. The class comes from LC's own classification data and subject headings, and the author Cutter is fitted against LC's live shelflist.
What you get
- Class number and author Cutter estimate
- Uses LC's call number when one already exists
- Tells you when LC has a record but no class number yet
- A starting point for PCIP and catalogers
Metadata Production Tools
Create the metadata the supply chain and libraries ask for, built from data Quoinlock already has.
PCIP Generator
Produce a Publisher's Cataloging-in-Publication (PCIP) block for your copyright page, built from your official ISBN record or an ONIX file you upload and checked against Library of Congress data.
What you get
- Names with author dates from LC headings
- LC subject headings, LC call number and Dewey
- Modern or legacy card layout
- Optional "LC record available at" line
ONIX Generator
Turn one ISBN into a schema-valid ONIX product record. Quoinlock starts from the official ISBN record, enriches it from the Library of Congress, and validates it against EDItEUR's schemas.
What you get
- ONIX 2.1, 3.0 and 3.1
- Shows where each field came from: the official record, LoC or your edits
- Full editing of contributors, subjects, prices and related products
- Saved sender defaults, copy or download
Author Identity Lookup
Find an author's persistent identifiers and tell same-name authors apart. Searches VIAF, LC Name Authority and ISNI, checks ORCID against ORCID's own registry, and adds detail from Wikidata and Wikipedia.
What you get
- ISNI, LC NAF and ORCID with confidence levels
- A title, ISBN or publisher helps tell same-name authors apart
- Profile with Wikipedia summary and links
- Next steps when an author has no record yet
Everyday Workflow
The small things that make a catalog manageable.
Add Books Your Way

What you get
- Bulk add from CSV or plain text
- Mobile barcode scanning
- Collections and grouping by publisher
Quick ISBN Lookup
Check the official and Library of Congress records for any ISBN without adding it to your dashboard. Useful for comparable titles, prospective acquisitions, or a quick check before you publish.

- No impact on your ISBN limit
- Scan a barcode to look up a book you're holding
